Tomato Paratha

Tomato Paratha is one of the best recipes of the day wich is liked due to spicy and sweet combination, slight red in colour due to tomato, served with curd or chutney taste can be varied by adding or reducing spices. So lets move on to prepare tomato paratha.....


  1. Ripe Red Tomatoes(big) 5

  2. Onion med 1

  3. green chillies 3

  4. methi seeds powder 1/4tsp

  5. mustard seeds powder 2pinch

  6. red chillie powder 1/4tsp

  7. sugar 2pinch

  8. turmeric powder 1/4tsp

  9. salt to taste

  10. coriander leaves 3tbls

  11. Ghee for frying.


  • Take a tawa add 2 tbls of oil add onion pieces saute until soft. (onion must me finely cut)

  • Add to it the cut tomatoes with turmeric and salt cook in a med.flame until it is well cooked .

  • Add to it the crushed g.chillie and red chillie powder and the methi-mustard powder with a pinch of sugar. cook for couple of minutes more until the gravy becomes a thick jam consistency & the water is absorbed. Add coriander completely.

  • Take the tomato paste in a bowl add to it 3/4 cup wheat flour and 1tbls of maida mix well without adding water. Only add water if required into a thick dough.Add salt if required.

  • roll out as even size parathas.Apply ghee in a tawa and toast it on both the sides until crisp.

  • serve hot with any raitha.
